My name is Shaneka A Mckinzie and I am a screen writer and director born in Fayetteville, NC. At 33 years old I obtained my Masters of Fine Arts at Fullsail University in Orlando FL where I also got a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design. I wrote, directed, produced and shot numerous short films such as Oh Baby and Sinsanity and Hella Shade as well as wrote and directed a short entitled The Game that is part of an anthology. I was the art director for a short film entitled The Queen and the Priest where I developed a strong passion for being able to use my design skills to bring full life to the visual elements of film during production. I worked on various films such as On My Way Home (slate, gaffer, director of photography), Toads and Diamonds (Sound), Mirror (slate), and Byrd's Do's and Donts (lighting, art director), and acted in various films such as Head Case (lead), and Charger (lead).  I have two children ages 14 and 6, a 1 year old cat named Jada and a puppy named Magical. I have been singing since the age of 3 years old and have written and  produced my own music, releasing an EP entitled "2:34" in 2020 as well as numerous singles since that release. I have dreams of working and screen writing for companies that produce sci fi, horror and drama films and release all works under MAD GENIUS Productions.
